New Year, New House, New State, New Everything
What a time our family had in 2012!
We have since moved from my beloved home state of Texas to the gorgeous North Carolina. WOW. Luckily, we have documented most of our move & shenanigans with iphone photos & Instagrams, so I am looking forward to creating some memory pages! In the mean time, I wanted to update some of my freebies.I have fallen in love with the Smash Book way of life & ideas by K&Co. I love the art journaling aspect of all of it! And I have come to sincerely appreciate Becky Higgins Project Life. So excited about her & Jessica Sprague doing a Digital Project Life class! Fun!! This is a perfect class for beginning digital scrappers!! Using templates & ready made backgrounds, Jessica Sprague leads the absolute beginner in Photoshop Elements or one of the PS Creative Suites to creating some fast, easy & fabulous memory pages!
So, since the craziness of last year & not being able to produce digital designs, (instead it was all real life stuff!) I will be repackaging & redesigning & revamping my existing kits for a digital project life kit & posting here ...most of them for free for you! Because I really want to see these designs used. Check back toward the end of the month of February for links to download my freebies.

From the Pen Tablet Basics Class
This is me in Hawaii! Everything is from the Pen Tablet Basics for Scrapbookers class supplies except for the flower in the tag. :) I drew the plumeria to match the one in my hair. Ha! This was an awesome class, in fact, one of my favorites!
PonyRides & Longhorns
Josey and I having a blast in Texas! Pony rides were only a few bucks at the Rodeo, but we stood in line for a few turns because she was set on riding the white one. :) Ok.
The other pics are during the bull run parade. She wondered why the big cow wasn't going anywhere! Dude. That's my girl!!
This layout is one of the templates that I designed in our Digi: In Deep class. Again, it is the older version of the class. The supplies used were from the class materials plus Jessica Sprague's Stitched Chip & Yellow Paisley paper from 'Strawberry Lemonade'.
1st Lesson from Jessica Sprague
Since I had already tried learning Photoshop on my own, with lots of free tutorials & books, etc. I began my classes with JS at the intermediate level with the Now We're Rockin' class. I can't begin to tell you how much I learned in just the few short lessons from this class. Absolutely wonderful! This was when I finally started to realize that anything is possible with this crazy software! Keep in mind that this layout was from an earlier version of the class and she has added loads of new content, but similar. Also, she has added different supplies from other designers that are now part of her store or some from other digi relationships. :) I think the new stuff looks just as fabulous and keeps everything fresh and up to what is trending now in the Scrapbooking World. Anyway, just wanted to share a few of the neat layouts.
As you can see here, the class supplies are just awesome!

Josey loved using this workbook by Kumon. It was what she called 'her cutting school' and it was a wonderful way to use her time while mom was helping her big sisters with their school work.
All of the supplies used were from the class supplies of Now We're Rockin' from Jessica Sprague.
Capture the Flag!
This layout comes from the Now We're Rockin' class by Jessica Sprague. It was from an earlier version of the class & I think the new class looks fantastic!!
Here's what it says!
All of the supplies used were from the class materials except for the splatter brush.
This was an awesome day of fun! We just played and played...of course this was after filling the hundreds of water balloons. :) I love my family!

Art of Digital Design 2
We are in the final week of this 5 week class taught by Carina Gardner. The Art of Digital Design II is another Jessica Sprague class specifically meant for aspiring DigiGoddesses... Ha! ...or just regular daydreamers like me. It has certainly been eye-opening, to say the least! Loads of new ideas to further your time and effort with digital items. She teaches a different thought process to use when designing. There were several lessons that really helped me get a grasp on just the workflow aspect of creating digital designs. Fabulous and well worth it! Now, on to designing.

New Blog Design...
Ok. I am going to attempt to get caught up on posting.
First things first...
This cute little layout is part of a wonderful class,
Blog Design Basics for Blogger, by designer Crystal Wilkerson at JessicaSprague.com. I heart that place!! Soon I will be able to design my own Blog Template, but for the time being, this suits me perfectly. I adore the colors, quirky and fun images, and the font is awesome. Go check it out if you are looking for a kick to give your blog.
Inspiration Everywhere! Free Class
Just one more reason to love Jessica Sprague! She is offering another free class starting November 29th called Inspiration Everywhere. You do need to register to receive all the incredible goodies, though. Calling all designers! Scrappers, Quilters, Painters, Musicians, etc & etc again. Read all about the details here...Go Be Inspired!

Silly Willy Nilly old Bear
This was the project completed in Week 4 of the Pen Tablet Basics for Scrapbookers. This was an AWESOME class! It had an incredible amount of information about using your Pen Tablet (i.e. even my old little Bamboo Fun tablet...mine is an older version that was about half of this price) with digital scrapbooking. The video lessons were so easy to follow! And we mostly used templates by Jessica or one of her contributing designers which made making the project easy while learning new techniques with the pen! More later!!

Sprague Classes
In December 09, I started looking at more online classes that could teach not only the fundamentals of the software program Adobe CS3 but also, the quick and easy IMPORTANT stuff for digital scrapbooking. I had been a huge fan of Jessica Sprague & her blog because of all the sincere help & tutorials and her evident desire for people to understand how much fun scrapbooking can be. There are always free kits and free tutorials available at her website. But her classes!!! WOW! Fantastic! So in depth, so much detail, yet everything is so organized and planned out and ...here is the main part... taught at an everyman's level. These classes could be taught to someone that is just loading the software on their machine to someone who has been using it for years...there really is that much great, well executed information taught clearly. And, she thinks you're awesome. :) Bonus. The work I've been doing in her classes have made me sign up for more & more! Simply because I have been able to advance so quickly in my understanding, the ease of the program now is a dream...and I have soooo much more to learn. So go check it out!
I can't wait to post all the great layouts created with the course materials from Jessica's classes.
